First steps
Level 1
Are you a fan of electronic music and want to share your selection with the world? This course is the perfect starting point. You’ll learn how to work with professional DJ equipment, understand the basics of DJing, and master the art of smoothly mixing tracks. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to play your first intimate DJ set.
Classes are held individually or in small groups, giving you full flexibility in learning and constant access to the gear. You’ll progress at your own pace while staying inspired and motivated through direct collaboration with an experienced instructor and fellow participants.
The course includes 21 hours of learning, divided into 7 sessions – each consisting of three 45-minute segments, with 15-minute breaks between them.
How long is the course?
The course includes 21 hours of training, split into 7 meetings. Each session is made up of three 45-minute lessons with 15-minute breaks in between.
Additionally, you’ll receive a 1-hour pass for solo practice in our studio.
At the end of the course, you’ll take a theoretical and practical exam, and celebrate your progress during a special event held in one of our venues. You’ll even have the chance to invite your friends to enjoy your achievements and musical journey.
What will you learn during the course?
- All the essential skills to start your DJ journey.
- How to operate CDJs and a mixer – every DJ’s key tools.
- How to use Rekordbox software to effectively build playlists, analyze, and export your tracks.
- Beatmatching techniques.
- How to transition between tracks.
- The basics of set building.
- You’ll create your first 30-minute set, which will be recorded.

First steps

Level 2
The intermediate course is designed for those who already know the basics of DJing. In this course, you’ll deepen your knowledge and master more advanced mixing techniques. After completing it, you’ll be ready to perform independently with greater confidence and impress with your technical skills.
How long is the course?
The course includes 21 hours of training, divided into 7 sessions – each consisting of three 45-minute lessons, with 15-minute breaks in between.
You’ll also receive a 1-hour solo practice pass for use in our studio.
At the end of the course, you’ll take a theoretical and practical exam and take part in a special showcase event held in one of our venues. It’s a moment to invite your friends and celebrate your progress with a dynamic set you’ve crafted during the course.
What will you learn during the course?

- Harmonic mixing – achieving tonal consistency across your sets.
- Creative transitions using effects and loops to give your mixes a unique flavor.
- Mastering tempo control and crafting smooth musical narratives, making your sets more energetic and engaging.
- Using effects creatively to build depth and interest in your transitions.
- Experimenting with different genres to build coherent sets that fit a variety of events.

The advanced course is for you if you’re ready to step on stage and play professional DJ sets. If you’ve already mastered the basics and intermediate mixing techniques, it’s time for the next step. In this course, you will learn how to elevate your skills to a higher level—creating sets that engage the audience and capture attention from the first to the last beat. You’ll discover the secrets of a DJ’s work and learn how to craft memorable sets that leave a lasting impression on any stage.
How long is the course?
The course includes 21 hours of learning, divided into 7 sessions. Each class consists of three 45-minute segments, separated by 15-minute breaks. Additionally, you’ll receive a pass for 1 hour of solo practice in our studio. At the end of the course, you’ll perform your own set on one of the stages at Smolna club during an official club event. You’ll also receive a professional audio recording of your performance. This is the moment to invite your friends, celebrate your achievements, and test your new skills in a professional environment.
What will you learn during the course?

- Creating atmosphere during warm-up, prime time, and closing sets.
- Advanced use of effects, loops, and samples to enrich your sets.
