REGULATIONS
SMOLNA ACADEMY REGULATIONS
§1. General Provisions
- These regulations (hereinafter: the “Regulations”) set out the rules for participation in courses organized by Smolna Academy – DJ School (hereinafter: the “School”).
- Enrollment in the course constitutes full acceptance of these Regulations. Each participant (hereinafter: the “Student”) agrees to abide by them throughout the course duration.
- The courses are organized by Smolna Club, located at ul. Smolna 38, Warsaw.
§2. Course Participation Rules
2.1. Individual Learning Pace and Independent Work
- The educational process takes into account the varying skill levels of the Students.
- The School provides instruction on how to operate DJ equipment (including mixers and CDJs).
- Progress depends on independent work outside of class. Regular self-practice is essential for assimilating the material.
- Students may attend additional paid remedial classes if they need to catch up.
- Instructors may assign extra exercises to be done at home and, in justified cases, propose moving a Student to a group more suited to their level.
2.2. Attendance and Withdrawal
- Attendance is mandatory. Absence means the Student forfeits the lesson without the right to a free make-up class.
- Missed classes can only be made up through paid individual lessons.
- Unexcused absence (without prior notice) will be treated as attended.
- Full payment for the course constitutes a declaration of participation. After payment, refunds or withdrawals are not permitted, unless previously agreed with School administration.
- In exceptional cases (e.g. force majeure), the School may offer to transfer the fee to a future course instead of issuing a refund. The final decision lies with the administration.
§3. Course Organization and Educational Materials
3.1. Curriculum
- The School provides a training program covering all key aspects of DJing, including equipment operation and mixing techniques.
- The program may be flexibly adapted to the group’s needs, but all elements listed in the schedule must be completed.

- In the event of damage caused by a Student, they bear full financial responsibility for repair or replacement.

- A final evaluation is presented after course completion.
5.2. Final Exam
- The course concludes with a practical exam, involving a performance in front of a jury or an audience.
- Passing the exam is required to receive a course completion certificate.

6.2. Withdrawal
Withdrawing from the course does not entitle the Student to a refund for unused classes, unless previously agreed.
6.3. Deposit

Therefore, please consider your decision carefully before booking and making the payment.
§7. Safety and Ethics
7.1. Safety
